Paradise Divide

The Maroon Bells, as seen from Paradise Divide between Aspen and Crested Butte, begin to pick up the first blue light of day. They are visible between the flanks of Cinnamon Mountain to the left and Mount Baldy to the right.

Even in the summer, it is never warm at 6:00 AM at 11,000 feet. While working out this composition, I not only had to stand in the pond, but control my shivering long enough for the ripples to dissipate.
